Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton have taken the next step in their relationship!
After five years of dating, the couple shared exciting news on Tuesday (October 27): They’re engaged!
Gwen showed off her new accessory on Instagram, sharing a photo of the two of them sharing a sweet kiss, captioned, “@blakeshelton yes please! 💍🙏🏻 gx.”
Posting the same photo on his feed, Blake wrote, “@gwenstefani thanks for saving my 2020… And the rest of my life.. I love you. I heard a YES!”
Last month, the couple, who have been dating for five years, bought their first house together in Encino, California. And earlier this month, Gwen appeared on Today With Hoda & Jenna where the hosts asked about the two of them maybe tying the knot after the pandemic.
“Oh, that’s a really good question,” Gwen replied. “The good news is that we still like each other a lot. That’s good. I don’t know. We’ll see what happens.”
Gwen is mom to three boys – Kingston, 14, Zuma, 12, and Apollo, 6 – whom she shares with ex-husband Gavin Rossdale. And she previously shared how Blake helps her out with the kids sometimes.
“He is a good dad, actually,” Gwen said on the Today show in September. “He’s been helping me out a lot, so I literally get to the point where I’m like, ‘You gotta get home, I need help.’ It’s hard. I got three boys.”
Gwen and Blake definitely look like they’re in it for the long haul. However, it won’t be the first time either of them will be walking down the aisle – Gwen was married to Gavin for 14 years before divorcing in April 2015; Blake was also previously married to Miranda Lambert, and went through his divorce at around the same time.
After months of dating speculations, the couple confirmed they were dating in November 2015 – and have been together since. Per Entertainment Tonight, the two got engaged on the weekend of October 17 in Oklahoma – Blake has a home there.
