Gwyneth Paltrow has won in the ski crash trail against Terry Sanderson.
The actress was accused the retired optometrist of injuring him in a ski collision that happed back in 2016. He sued her for $300,000. Under Utah law, the downhill skier has right of way. However, in this incident both parties claimed that they were the downhill skier.
Terry initially sued her for over $3M but a judge shot down his attempts to get punitive damages.
After a highly-publicized trial in Park City, Utah, the jury reached its verdict on Thursday afternoon (March 20). The verdict was read aloud in court.
Gwyneth countersued Terry for the amount of $1. She was awarded the damages that she requested. Terry was deemed 100% at fault, not her.
