Haim is setting the record straight about whether they play they own instruments or are just in fact faking it.
The band and real-life sisters Este, Danielle, and Alana have responded to the rumors that they actually do not know how to play their guitar and drums.
Haim performed at the 2023 Governors Ball Music Festival in NYC over the weekend. Following their performance, they noticed a concert-goer questioning their instrument-playing skills.
In the comments section of an Instagram video, Lakeshore Records’ A&R director Eric Craig apparently wrote:
“Is it me or is that bassist just acting?”
The band’s account then clapped back at the claims, writing:
“Lol I can’t believe this s—- is STILL happening.”
Este, whom Eric was referencing in the comment, then took to Haim’s Instagram Stories to write this about the accusation:
“I’m so used to seeing this s*** on every f***ing video of us playing ever, but I’m so over it. Don’t ever say we don’t play our f***ing instruments.”
