HAIM fans, get ready—your favorite sister trio is back with a brand-new album, and it’s dropping sooner than you think.

The band—made up of siblings Este, Danielle, and Alana Haim—announced their highly anticipated fourth studio album, I Quit, which will officially be released on June 20 via Columbia Records. It’s their first new full-length release since 2020’s critically acclaimed Women in Music Pt. III, and judging by what we’ve heard so far, they’re coming back louder, bolder, and more self-assured than ever.

Produced by longtime collaborator Rostam Batmanglij and band member Danielle Haim, I Quit promises 15 tracks packed with HAIM’s signature mix of classic rock vibes and raw, unfiltered emotion. According to the official release, the album “radiates the raw energy of seasoned performers whose deep reverence for classic rock shapes songs that are built for live performance.”

Alongside the album announcement, the band also dropped a brand-new single called “Down to be wrong,” which offers a confident, reflective take on self-worth and moving forward—something the band is clearly doing themselves.

The lyrics speak to that bittersweet but powerful moment of choosing yourself over someone else:

“I bet you wish it could be easy / To change my mind / I bet you wish it could be easy / But it’s not this time / Oh, did you think it would keep me busy / Holding the line? / Oh, I didn’t think it would be so easy / ‘Til I left it behind,” they sing.

The music video for the track, which was released on April 25, adds even more flair. Directed by the creative duo Bradley and Pablo, it features actor Logan Lerman—yes, Percy Jackson himself—stepping into a moody, stylized world that perfectly matches the song’s introspective vibe.

The new single follows two other songs that the group quietly released ahead of the album: “Relationships” and “Everybody’s trying to figure me out.” Together, these tracks offer a hint at the album’s emotional arc—one that leans heavily into themes of identity, boundary-setting, and personal growth.

Since bursting onto the scene in the early 2010s, HAIM has carved out a space in the music world that’s entirely their own. Their sound—rooted in soft rock, indie-pop, and ‘70s nostalgia—has matured alongside them. And with I Quit, it feels like they’re not just evolving musically, they’re reclaiming control.

[Verse 1]
Down to be wrong
Don’t need to be right
I left you the keys
I left on the lights
I locked myself out
Of the house
I’m on the next flight
You can’t talk me out of it, yeah

[Verse 2]
From the window seat
I can see the street
Where we used to sleep
It was all dream
You thought I would fall
Back in your arms
But I lost my heart
And the future’s gone with it

[Chorus]
Oh, I bet you wish it could be easy
To change my mind
Oh, I bet you wish it could be easy
But it’s not this time

[Verse 3]
I ain’t coming back
I ain’t coming down
I was so high last night
I thought, “Burn it to the ground”
You never helped me
It was like hell for me
But you’re the greatest pretender
So just keep pretending
Just keep pretending

[Chorus]
Oh, I bet you wish it could be easy
To change my mind
Oh, I bet you wish it could be easy
But it’s not this time

[Bridge]
Boy, I crushed my whole heart
Trying to fit my soul into your arms
And I crushed up these pills
And I still couldn’t take ’em
I still couldn’t take ’em

[Chorus]
I bet you wish it could be easy
To change my mind
I bet you wish it could be easy
But it’s not this time
Oh, did you think it would keep me busy
Holding the line?
Oh, I didn’t think it would be so easy
‘Til I left it behind

[Outro]
Down to be wrong
Don’t need to be right
Down to be wrong
Don’t need to be right
Down to be wrong (This train won’t turn around)
Don’t need to be right (The light’s cutting through the clouds)
Down to be wrong (My feet are on the ground)
Don’t need to be right (And I keep walking)
Down to be wrong (Don’t need you to understand)
Don’t need to be right (I don’t know if you can)
Down to be wrong (Red lights are up ahead)
Don’t need to be right (But I’ll keep walking)
Down to be wrong
Don’t need to be right
Down to be wrong
