Halle Bailey has filed for court protection against her ex-boyfriend, rapper and YouTuber DDG, following a series of disturbing allegations.

The 25-year-old singer and Little Mermaid star was granted a temporary restraining order on Tuesday (May 13) against DDG—real name Darryl Dwayne Granberry Jr.—after she alleged he physically assaulted her earlier this year.

According to legal documents obtained by TMZ, Halle detailed an incident from January 2025, claiming that DDG slammed her face into the steering wheel during an argument. She said the altercation left her with visible bruises on her arm and a chipped tooth. The court filing also included photos of her injuries.

“I then stopped fighting back as I was in a lot of pain,” Halle wrote in her statement.

The pair had been in a relationship for over two years before splitting in October 2024, less than a year after welcoming their son, Halo, who was born in December 2023.

In her filing, Halle alleged that the abuse wasn’t limited to just one incident. She claimed DDG has been verbally abusive toward her in front of their child.

“Darryl lacks an understanding of how his actions impact Halo. He is often verbally abusive towards me in front of Halo,” she wrote.

The court documents also describe other disturbing encounters between the former couple. Halle said she once received a “threatening” text message from DDG after he allegedly entered her home without permission while she was away.

Days later, he reportedly locked her out of her own house, took her phone, and then tossed it out of the window of his moving car.

On top of the alleged physical and emotional abuse, Halle also stated that DDG continues to disparage her publicly. She accused him of using his massive platforms—including YouTube and Twitch—to “badmouth” her in front of his millions of fans, which she says has led to a wave of online harassment.

“I have done everything possible to avoid going to Court,” Halle wrote. “I have tried to placate Darryl by providing him access to Halo, even though he is not with Halo and often leaves Halo with his Mother. I have facilitated his visits, no matter where I am and often last minute. I realize that there is no placating Darryl. I cannot allow this abuse any longer. I cannot keep living like this.”

As of now, DDG has not issued any public response to the allegations or the court order.

The temporary restraining order is expected to remain in place until a formal hearing can be held. In the meantime, it legally requires DDG to stay away from Halle and their son Halo.
