Halsey is opening up about a frightening health scare that landed her in the hospital. The 29-year-old singer, known for hits like “Without Me” and “Bad at Love,” shared her experience with her fans, giving insight into the incident that left many concerned.

On Wednesday, September 25, Halsey posted a video to her social media, offering a glimpse into her time in the hospital. In the clip, she is lying in a hospital bed with an IV in her arm, visibly recovering but maintaining her sense of humor. Alongside her in the video is her fiancé, actor Avan Jogia. She captioned the post with her signature wit, writing, “Happy Late Bi Visibility Day. This year I’m celebrating by dying with a man by my side (for legal reasons that’s a joke).”

The video was brief, showing Halsey flashing a peace sign and saying, “Happy Bi Visibility Day. We had a whole plan for you guys,” indicating that the health incident derailed whatever celebration she had originally planned for the occasion.

Naturally, fans were quick to express their concern and ask about her well-being. One fan took to Twitter to ask how Halsey was feeling after the hospital visit. The singer responded with a reassuring update: “I’m home from the hospital now after a few days, so a win is a win!”

As someone who has been open about her health struggles in the past, including her battle with endometriosis and other chronic conditions, many fans suspected that the incident could be related to those issues. Another fan inquired if her hospital stay was tied to her ongoing health challenges. Halsey didn’t hesitate to offer a candid response, revealing the cause of her hospitalization: “I had a seizure! Very scary! Don’t recommend it!”

This is not the first time Halsey has shared details about her health journey. Earlier this year, she opened up about living with lupus, a chronic autoimmune disease that can lead to a variety of complications. In an interview with SheMD, she explained how lupus has impacted her body and health. “I have lupus, and sometimes with lupus there’s other complications. I announced a couple years ago that I had Sjogren Syndrome, which is really often comorbid—meaning going alongside of—lupus. Because lupus is an autoimmune condition, sometimes it can suppress your immune system to the point that you develop a T-cell disorder,” she shared.

Halsey’s openness about her health struggles has always resonated with her fans, many of whom appreciate her vulnerability and honesty. Despite her recent health scare, it seems the singer is maintaining her trademark humor and positivity, and she’s back home recovering after what must have been a very stressful few days.

We’re hopeful that she continues to heal and takes the time she needs to get back to full health. Here’s to hoping Halsey is back to doing what she loves—making music and sharing her journey with the world—in no time!
