It looks like divorce is off the table for Sam Hunt and Hannah Lee Fowler for now.
It’s being reported that Sam’s estranged wife has now filed to withdraw her divorce complaint against the country star. Her motion to withdraw comes merely hours after initially filing for divorce.
In documents obtained by news outlets, it seems that after just two and a half hours, a notice of voluntary nonsuit was filed by Hannah Lee.
Per the state of Tennessee, it is said that a nonsuit allows the plaintiff to “have the right to take a voluntary nonsuit to dismiss an action without prejudice by filing a written notice if dismissal at any time before the trial of a cause.”
She originally filed for divorce on Friday (February 18), accusing Sam of “adultery” and “inappropriate marital conduct.”
It was also revealed when she filed for divorce that she was pregnant with her and Sam’s first child together and is due to give birth on May 2022.
Classifying her decision to withdraw as “voluntary nonsuited without prejudice” means that she can file for divorce again in the future. But in accordance with Tennessee law, once she seeks a divorce from Sam for a second time, she can no longer withdraw.
Reports say a judge has yet to sign off on the filing so that the case will be completely dismissed.
