The show premiered exactly 15 years ago today, and fans are celebrating the show that helped turn Miley Cyrus into the icon she is today – so much so that it became a trending topic on Twitter.
But fans aren’t just taking a trip down memory lane – many are excited for what could be next for Hannah Montana!
Confused? Here’s the tea.
In 2019, fans discovered that there’s an Instagram account with the handle @hannahmontana – it’s verified! And if the check mark doesn’t have fans convinced it’s legit, a quick check on the account’s followers show that it’s followed by Hannah herself, Miley.
Then, in a 2020 interview, Miley even hinted about plotting to bring back Hannah Montana.
“You know what honestly, I try to put that wig on all the time,” she said on Carolina With Greg T In The Morning. “She’s just in storage collecting dust and I’m ready to whip her out. The opportunity will present itself. I definitely would like to resurrect her at some point.”
Now, days ahead of the show’s 15th anniversary, eagle-eyed fans noticed there’s been an update to the Hannah Montana IG account. The bio now reads: “Your favorite teen pop sensation since 2006. Teen by day. Popstar by night. Malibu, CA. Life’s what you make it. Let’s make it rock.”
The account also commented on Billie Eilish’s post revealing her new blonde look, writing, “I knew I was missing a wig.”
Now, fans are all up in a tizzy about the possibility of a Hannah Montana reboot.
