Harry Styles and Olivia Wilde are publicly addressing the small portion of people who have been expressing dislike on their relationship.

In his new Rolling Stone interview, the 28-year-old performer was asked about the “small, toxic corners of the internet” that may be treating those closest to him poorly. To this, Harry stated:

“That obviously doesn’t make me feel good.”

The writer of the feature commented that his fan base seems to have a “faction that runs on hate and anonymity.” Harry candidly shared:

“It’s obviously a difficult feeling to feel like being close to me means you’re at the ransom of a corner of Twitter or something.

I just wanted to sing. I didn’t want to get into it if I was going to hurt people like that.”

His girlfriend Olivia was asked for a quote for the feature. She called the majority of Harry’s fanbase “deeply loving people,” and went on to say:

What I don’t understand about the cruelty you’re referencing is that that kind of toxic negativity is the antithesis of Harry, and everything he puts out there.

I don’t personally believe the hateful energy defines his fan base at all. The majority of them are true champions of kindness.”
