Congratulations are in order for Henry Golding and wife Liv Lo.
The couple welcomed their first child on Wednesday (March 31), and announced the happy news on social media Monday (April 5) night.
“On March 31st our lives changed forever,” Liv wrote on Instagram, sharing a series of photos of her on a hospital bed, along with a closeup photo which showed their baby’s tiny hand clutching Liv’s fingers and part of the newborn’s face. She also shared that she’s on maternity leave from posting content, adding, “I’ll prob be up during midnight breastfeeds checking in on you, but otherwise ‘I’ll be back’ xx”
“This woman right here. Beyond anything I could have ever imagined. Your strength brought us our greatest joy. Thank you, I love you ♥️,” Henry captioned a black-and-white photo with their baby.
So far, Liv and Henry haven’t shared any other information about their little bundle of joy – like the baby’s gender or name.
Henry and Liv first met in 2011 – and tied the knot five years after.
Henry has previously opened up about how he knew Liv was the one.
“There’s always a little bit of magic when you first meet a person, but it doesn’t occur to you,” Henry told PEOPLE about that first meeting. “It’s not like, ‘Oh my God, that’s a person I’m going to marry.’ There’s like, ‘Wow, there’s something about them,’ but it’s when you get to know somebody, when you build a relationship, that you become a team.”
“That’s when you start realizing, this is the love of my life,” he continued.
The couple announced they were expecting their first child in November.
“2021 is already looking brighter ❤️👼🏻,” Henry captioned photos with Liv showing off her baby bump.
The then-expecting mom also shared similar photos, writing, “Such immense joy this little one has brought us already. Now we get to share it with you💕We love you!✨”
