Celine Dion is fighting back following her diagnosis.

The 54-year-old “Courage” super star revealed earlier this month that she was diagnosed with Stiff Person Syndrome, which is an extremely rare neurological disorder. The singer also canceled upcoming shows to be able to focus on healing.

Now, a new report has offered some insight into how Celine has been doing after her diagnosis.

Us Weekly revealed that she is staying close to her family, particularly children Rene-Charles, 21, and twins Nelson and Eddy, 12, at this challenging time. A source told the outlet:

“Her kids have been her rock… the twins are very mature for their age and Rene-Charles checks in and dotes on his mom all the time.”

They went on to share that her diagnosis is a relatively new development, stating:

“She’s been suffering the symptoms for quite some time, but it always baffled her what was wrong. It came as a shock, but she’s lost none of her fighting spirit and is comforted that at least she knows exactly what she’s dealing with now and there’s comfort that she can alleviate some of the symptoms by getting treatments that are specific for this condition.”
