Taylor Lautner is getting candid about his proposal to longtime lady love turned fiancee Tay Dome.
The 29-year-old actor shared the joyful news of his engagement back in November of last year, and how he’s dishing on just how he popped the big question.
In an interview with Access Hollywood, Taylor revealed that his proposal was totally low key, saying:
“She always has said ‘I don’t want anything special. I don’t want anything big and grand. Do it in the kitchen. I love cooking so I make us food all the time in the kitchen and we just eat at the counter. One night after we eat in the kitchen [propose], that’s all I want. Simple.’
So, I did do it in the kitchen.”
The Home Team star went on to relay that though he kept it simple, he was still able to add his own touch and go big when he asked Tay to be his wife:
“I did it big in the kitchen.
She was away and I got tons of flowers and candles and a sign. So she came home at the end of the day, after a long day of work, and walked into that.
It was a lovely surprise. It actually did take her a little longer than expected to say ‘yes’ because she was weeping so hard.”
Awww.
Taylor also hilariously shared that back in the day, Tay loved Twilight — but she was NOT on his team! He said that Tay was definitely not Team Jacob:
“Um… she was, she was Team Edward. Yes, she was. But she’s made up for it. I’m allowing her to make that mistake. It’s in her past.
She’s good now, but she was not Team Jacob unfortunately.”
