Taylor Swift regrets doing this one thing.
The “”ME!” songstress was on Wednesday’s (May 15) episode of The Ellen DeGeneres Show, where she and the host played a game of “Burning Questions.”
One of the questions Ellen asked her was: “What is the most rebellious thing you did as a teenager?”
“Probably when I put Joe Jonas on blast on your show,” she revealed. “That was too much, that was too much.”
“I was 18, yeah,” she added. “We laugh about it now, but that was mouthy, yeah, some teenage stuff there.”
Get ready for a quick trip down memory lane because this happened waaaay back in 2008, when Taylor and Joe were a thing – until they weren’t.
Taylor was still promoting her album Fearless on Ellen at the time and when the host asked if there was a song about Joe (Jonas), she confirmed that there was, in fact, one about him.
“There’s one [song] that’s about that guy, but that guy’s not in my life anymore, unfortunately. That’s ouch,” she shared.
The song in question? “Forever and Always” – and she was “definitely” being sarcastic about the title.
“…We haven’t talked since, but you know what, someday I’m gonna find someone really, really great who’s right for me,” she continued. “…When I look at that person, I’m not even going to remember the boy who broke up with me over the phone in 25 seconds when I was 18.”
“Sorry, I had to,” she added.
Okay, blast from the past over.
Fast forward to the present, Taylor is now dating Joe Alwyn, who may or may not be what the song “Gorgeous” is about. And Joe Jonas is married to Sophie Turner.
So, we can move along now – no drama here.
But let’s not forget that they’ll be both be performing on The Voice stage next week – well, the Joe and his brothers Nick and Kevin as The Jonas Brothers, and Taylor and collaborator Brendon Urie from Panic! At The Disco.
On Monday’s (May 13) episode of the show, the Jonas Brothers made the announcement via a pre-taped video.
“Major breaking news, you ready?” Kevin said excitedly. “Joe, Nick and I, the Jonas Brothers, we will be singing our new single, ‘Cool,’ on the live Voice finale!”
“It’s gonna be an epic night of music,” Nick added. “Don’t miss it. See ya!”
And after their short message, The Voice host Carson Daly also dropped more esxciting news.
“If that wasn’t enough news… Taylor Swift is also going to be here with Brendon Urie of Panic! And they’re gonna do their new hit, ‘ME!'” he declared.
