Ever since Robert Downey Jr. and Tom Holland shared the screen together in the MCU films, fans have been loving their adorable and, at times, hilarious dynamics onscreen – so much so that one fan actually went ahead and reimagined them in other roles. namely, the 1980s classic Back To The Future.

The OG film, which starred Michael J. Fox and Christopher Lloyd, got a futuristic treatment with the help of digital technology. The result? Tom’s and RDJ’s faces got mapped onto Marty McFly’s and Doc Brown’s bodies, respectively.

As we all know, reboots and revivals are all the rage right now, and the deep fake video quickly went viral on Twitter. Fans began clamoring for a remake of the classic comedy – this time, starring Tom and Robert.

So will we ever see them taking on the roles should a reboot happen?

Tom says he’s not exactly down for it – and his reason is uber understandable.

“I would not be interested because that is a perfect movie,” Tom told Entertainment Tonight at the premiere of his upcoming animated film, Onward.

Besides, he’s already somewhat achieved a similar goal with his role as Spider-Man.

“When I first got Spider-Man, my goal was to be my generation’s Marty McFly,” Tom explained. “When I was on the press tour, a journalist said to me, ‘You realize you’re like Marty McFly in this movie?’ And I was like, ‘[OK!] Done.'”

Tom recently revealed he’s taking a break from social media.

In an interview with E! News, our friendly neighborhood Spidey revealed that he has deleted Instagram from his phone.

“I don’t have Instagram right now,” Tom said. “I just had to get away from it and take a break.”

Now, don’t panic just yet. Tom’s IG account is still up and running – he’s just taking a break from using the platform. And his reason for why is uber relatable.

“It was taking over my life, and I was becoming obsessed by it,” he continued. “Like, ‘How many likes did I get?’ and ‘What did people say about my picture?’ and who’s doing this and who’s doing that. I found myself focusing more on my Instagram life than I was on my real life.”

“And now that I’ve taken a step back and I’ve started to focus on Tom and the future of what Tom is gonna be, I have—I’m talking about myself in the third person, I sound like such a d–k, but you know what I mean,” he added. “I’m just working on myself, and I feel really great for it.”

And the move has freed him from potentially unhealthy distractions.

“I think you use it as a distraction to distract yourself from things you don’t want to face in life,” he shared, “so when you step up and face them, you can get over them and you become happier.”
