Don’t Worry Darling is currently making waves at the Venice Film Festival. But the film’s star, Florence Pugh, was noticeably absent from the press day ahead of the film’s red carpet premiere.
The movie and its cast have been under intense scrutiny lately due to the ongoing drama surrounding the film, especially in the wake of director Olivia Wilde’s leaked call to Shia LaBeouf wherein she refers to Florence as “Miss Flo.”
Sources have dished to outlets:
“Florence and Olivia have had several disagreements personally and professionally, that’s why Florence isn’t doing any press for the movie.”
However, it is being reported that Florence actually had a very good reason for skipping press. It seems that her flight from Budapest, where she is currently filming Dune: Part Two, arrived after Monday’s photo call. This scheduling conflict comes after reports came out that Florence would be limiting her DWD press.
The actress however did walk the red carpet and attended the premiere, stunning in an off-the-shoulder, black tulle how by Valentino.
Don’t Worry Darling received a four-minute standing ovation. Reportedly, a teary-eyed Florence kept her distance from Olivia at the time. ‘
