Now, some clarity has been given on the situation. An insider has revealed the reason Matthew was fired to People, stating that Matthew was let go “after he had an inappropriate releationship with a female contestant.”
The source went on to say about the Glee alum’s actions:
“They didn’t have sex, but he reached out to her through flirty direct message on social media.
She felt uncomfortable with his line of comments and went to producers, who then got Fox involved.
He was fired after they did their own investigation.”
They clarified that Matthew and the female contestant “never met up off-set,” saying:
“It was just messages that crossed the line.”
