The first weekend of Coachella just happened, and festival-goers were in for the time of their lives. Check out some of the highlights from the music festival.

Mind-blowing Performances

Selena Gomez returned to the stage with a surprise performance alongside Cardi B and Ozuna as they sang their No. 1 hit, “Taki Taki,” with DJ snake Friday (April 12) night.

Katy Perry also made a surprise appearance as she joined Zedd onstage to perform their new single, “365.”

The 34-year-old singer dropped a cryptic tweet before hitting the stage, writing, “”Feel like I’ve been doing full looks at @Coachella for as long as some of these people have been alive.”

2018 Sexiest Man Alive and award-winning actor Idris Elba, who also happens to be a DJ on the DL, made his Coachella debut on Saturday (April 13) night.

“To be honest, I’m super psyched to be on it. I never thought I’d be able to play there,” he told the L.A. Times about getting the call to play at the festival. “I’ve DJ’d for money and I’ve DJ’d for fun, and now there are people that are coming to see me play Coachella. That’s out there.”

He’s been known to show off his DJ skills in Atlanta and New York, and has graced stages from Glastonbury to Ibiza. He even has an album out – Hiatus. And the 46-year-old star bust out some pretty cool beats that had the crowd shookt at Coachella.

His girlfriend, Sabrina Dhowre, and his 17-year-old daughter, Isan, were there to support him during his set.

J Balvin, who performed with Queen Bey on her epic set last year, made history this year as the first Latinx headliner for the festival. And the reggaeton artist went on Instagram on Saturday to commemorate the event.

“Today is a very special day, I always said that the day I went to Coachella would be on a stage and that’s how it was. Last year I was with Beyonce, today it’s up to us Latinos and dreamers, who like me are not afraid to follow their dreams and call them different, because we need them to keep calling us crazy when we are dreamers. Welcome to another stage of my adventures,” he captioned a photo showing off his colorful leopard-pattern ‘do.

Fans were delighted as he treated them to J Balvin classics like “Reggaeton” and “Machika,” and even brought out a special guest – Rosalia – for a performance of their new collab, “Con Altura.”

“It took 15 years for reggaeton to get to Coachella. We are here!” he told the crowd.

Billie Eilish delivered stunning performances on Saturday night, which earned praises from Justin Bieber and Orlando Bloom.  She also brought out Vince Staples during her performance, although there were some technical difficulties which resulted with the crowd having trouble hearing him. Fingers crossed they’ll have it sorted out next weekend.

On Sunday (April 14) night, Bad Bunny slayed on the stage as he

Ariana Grande made headlines as the youngest headliner in Coachella history. And she just closed Coachella’s first weekend in epic fashion.

Kicking off her set with “God Is A Woman,” the 25-year-old pop star then kept the crowd guessing as she brought out her guests one by one during her star-studded set.

We’ve been waiting for it for years, and Ari pulled off an *NSYNC reunion – sans Justin Timberlake though. But that didn’t stop the crowd from going wild.

“I’ve been practicing my whole life for this moment,” Ari exclaimed as she performed alongside JC Chasez, Chris Kirkpatrick, Joey Fatone, and Lance Bass onstage.

Ari appeared to have teased about the performance on her Instagram, posting a clip of her jamming and dancing to NSYNC, captioned, “the best medicine (black heart emoji) 90s baby.”

Dillon Francis joined her onstage for a few songs, and her pal Nicki Minaj dropped by to perform their 2014 hit “Bang Bang.” She also brought out Diddy and Mase to perform Notorious B.I.G.’s “Mo Money Mo Problems,” and followed it with a tribute to those the hip-hop world has lost – including B.I.G., Tupac Shakur, Nipsey Hussle and, Mac Miller.

The performance ended with fireworks and pink confetti. Because…#ARICHELLA.

Star-studded audience

Stars aren’t just lighting up the stage. Even the audience was star-studded, too!

Kylie and Travis Scott returned to where their love story began. The couple were spotted around Indio, California on day two of Coachella.

In an interview with GQ, Kylie and Travis opened up about their relationship – dishing they don’t really remember how they first met, but their first date wasn’t exactly a date. They were at Coachella. “Coachella was one of the stops on his tour,” Kylie explained. “So he said, ‘I’m going back on tour—what do we want to do about this?’ Because we obviously liked each other.”

As for their second date, it was Kylie’s call. “I was like, ‘I guess I’m going with you,” she said. She went on to tell the story, “I really jumped on the bus. And then we rode off into the sunset. I did the whole tour with him.”

The couple now have a baby girl together and is still going strong, packing on the PDA on social media as they prepared to head out to the music festival.

Justin Bieber and wife Hailey Bieber also spent the weekend at the festival – and reunited with mutual friend Kendall Jenner.

Kendall and Hailey were spotted catching Kacey Musgrave’s performance as the sun began to set.

Jailey watched Billie Eilish as she took the stage. Hailey thought she “slayed” in her performance, and the “Purpose” singer tweeted about her set, “Proud of you, @billieilish.” They also finally got to meet in person – for the first time ever.

Billie has been a long-time fan of Justin’s (since she was 12!) and appeared awestruck as she posed beside Justin for a photo. He shared the moment in an Instagram story, captioned “So this happened…Long and bright future ahead of you.”

Justin also cheered on Jaden Smith as he performed a killer set, and gave props to his pal on social media, writing, “Proud doesn’t begin to describe how I feel,” on a photo of Jaden onstage.

Another of Jaden’s pals even made a surprise appearance on the stage during his performance – his childhood friend Jordyn Woods.

“Only @c.syresmith would perform on a flying Tesla,” Jordyn captioned a photo of Jaden’s performance on Instagram. “I’m so proud of you my guy!!! Here’s a shot of the moment a ran on stage.”
