Harry Styles and Emma Corbin have been hard at work filming their upcoming film My Policeman – and things have been heating up between the onscreen love interests in front of the camera. But how does Harry’s lady love IRL, Olivia Wilde, feel about him smooching someone else?
Apparently, Olivia’s totally cool about the whole thing. According to a source, she and Harry are going strong and she’s confident about their relationship.
“[Olivia’s] not bothered by Harry’s on-camera romance with Emma,” a source tells Us Weekly. “This isn’t the first time she’s been in a relationship and had to deal with her partner kissing other actresses. If anything, she’s excited about his role in the film and thinks he’s doing an amazing job. Plus, she’s confident in their relationship as they’re going very strong!”
She’s also reportedly gotten to know some of Harry’s castmates already.
“Olivia is still in London, supporting Harry behind the scenes,” the source adds. “She gets a chance to bond with the cast when they’re not filming but is more so excited to spend alone time with Harry when he’s offset.”
Olivia’s no stranger to portraying onscreen romances herself – while she and ex-fiancé Jason Sudeikis were still together, she’s starred in movies like Life Itself and Drinking Buddies, which both have romantic storylines. Looks like she’s a total pro and isn’t the jealous type when it comes to her man doing his job.
According to Deadline: the story takes place in the late 1990s, when the arrival of elderly invalid Patrick into Marion and Tom’s home, triggers the exploration of seismic events from 40 years previous: the passionate relationship between Tom and Patrick at a time when homosexuality was illegal.
Harry is set to play a gay policeman named Tim Burgess in the film, where he will reportedly be in a few racy scenes AND baring some skin as well.
“Not much is going to be left to the imagination. Harry is throwing himself into this new role and is really excited about the challenge, even though it’s a daunting task. He always wants to do things that people wouldn’t expect and challenge what people think about him — and this film will really do that,” a source tells The Sun.
Emma will be playing his onscreen wife, while David Dawson will play Patrick.
