There is an interesting new rumor going around about Armie Hammer.
Some social media users are saying that the actor, who has stepped away from the Hollywood scene amid some big scandals that he’s been involved in, was seen working as a hotel concierge in Grand Cayman.
The bizarre rumor stemmed from a flyer circulating on Twitter which seemingly showcased Armie as a concierge at Morritt’s Resort in Grand Cayman. This flyer was first distributed by a producer on Showtime’s Jesus & Metro named Muna Mire, who wrote:
“My friend’s parents went on vacation in the Cayman Islands and Armie Hammer was there concierge.”
But a lawyer for Armie has since stated that the flyer is a fake. And a real staff member at the hotel has revealed the story behind the flyer. The hotel staffer shared to Variety that it was actually a joke.
They said that Armie is a guest of the hotel. He is friends with some of the staff and they go golfing together. Some of the employees created the flyer and sent it out to a few rooms at the resort as a prank.
The hotel staffer went on to say that they have never received this many calls and could “only dream of this sort of publicity.”
