With It Ends With Us making headlines for more than just its storyline, actor Brandon Sklenar has found himself caught in the middle of the drama between co-stars Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni.
Following Lively’s legal dispute with Baldoni in December 2024, Sklenar, who plays Atlas Corrigan in the film, initially voiced support for his co-star. When pressed about the situation during an appearance on CBS Mornings, Sklenar carefully navigated the topic.
“I just want people to remember why we made the movie in the first place and what it stands for, and just keeping the focus on that,” he explained. “I have someone very close to me who’s gone through what [Blake’s character Lily is] going through for a long time and I’ve been on the front lines helping her navigate that space. So that movie meant a lot to me and it means a lot to her. It was one of the reasons that me doing that movie gave her the strength to change her life.”
He added, “It’s unfortunate that things get taken away from what the ethos of that things is and it gets convoluted.”
When co-host Gayle King pushed him further, asking if he was “Team Blake” or “Team Justin,” Sklenar laughed before diplomatically responding, “I’m Team It Ends With Us.”
It’s clear he wants the conversation to remain focused on the film’s message rather than any behind-the-scenes tensions.
