Spotted: Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez vacationing together in Montana – just the two of them!
Remember how just last week Ben and J.Lo were just a couple of friendly exes hanging out all friendly-like in J.Lo’s home in Los Angeles? Well, it appears a lot can definitely happen in a week – and fans and shippers are totally flashing back to the early 2000s.
The Daily Mail published photos of Ben and J.Lo driving around Montana TOGETHER in an SUV. And, according to E! News, they spent “about a week” together in Montana’s Yellowstone Club – a luxury ski and golf resort and private residential club – “just the two of them.”
They reportedly hopped on a private plane and jetted off to Montana after attending the VAX LIVE concert on May 2, just a few days after reports came out that Ben and J.Lo have been hanging out at her place in L.A.
Sources are also saying their chemistry is “unreal.”
One source told PEOPLE, “[Jennifer] spent several days with Ben out of town. They have a strong connection. It’s all been quick and intense, but Jennifer is happy.”
“They have been in touch here and there throughout the years,” another source told E! News. “Ben reached out to her to see how she was doing and they had dinner together a few times within this last month. It’s natural between them and the chemistry is unreal. They picked up where they last left off and are enjoying each other’s company right now.”
And a third source tells Entertainment Tonight, “They have a good time when they’re hanging out and things have been easy, fun and exciting between them. They’ve stayed in touch over the years, so the two of them reconnecting isn’t a huge surprise to their friends. Ben is protective over J.Lo and they’re trying to be as low key as possible.”
As a reminder, Bennifer was very much a thing in the early 2000s. Ben and J.Lo started dating in 2002, after meeting on the set of their movie Gigli – with Ben popping the question just a few months later. However, mere days before they were set to tie the knot in 2003, they called the wedding off. And by the start of 2004, Bennifer was officially history.
J.Lo has previously opened up about how Ben was “her first real heartbreak” in her 2014 memoir, True Love. The former couple remained on friendly terms though. And it looks like they might be rekindling some of those old sparks again.
Their maybe-reconciliation comes just after a month after J.Lo and Alex Rodriguez officially called off their engagement. And A-Rod is reportedly “shocked” and “upset” at this new development.
“A-Rod is shocked that J.Lo has moved on,” a source tells E! News. “He truly thought they would be able to make it work and reconnect. He has been reaching out to J.Lo trying to meet with her and she has been very short with him.”
A-Rod has reportedly been trying to win J.Lo back. However, the source notes, “She’s not interested in rekindling anything with A-Rod and is done.”
