J Balvin and girlfriend Valentina Ferrer’s family is growing!
The couple revealed that they were expecting their first child together on the cover of Vogue Mexico.
The Prince of Reggaeton and the former Miss Argentina are gracing the cover of the magazine with a black-and-white photo, with the mom-to-be showing off her baby bump and J Balvin cradling it from behind.
Valentina shared the cover on Instagram, captioning it, “Se va agrandado la familia 💗,” which translates to “the family is growing.”
J Balvin hopped on the comments section to show his love with a red single heart emoji. Their fans and friends also showered the couple with congratulations and well wishes.
The couple first met on the set of J balvin’s 2017 music video “Sigo Extrañándote,” where they starred alongside each other as husband and wife. A year later, they made their debut as a couple during New York Fashion Week.
In their cover story interview, the model opened up about her pregnancy, as well as her boyfriend’s reaction at the news.
“I did three tests in a row because I couldn’t believe it,” she said. “But what surprised me the most was when I felt it kick for the very first time.”
“‘He froze,” she recalled of telling him about the baby news. “He was happy, but it was like a call from Zoom that does not work when the WiFi crashes. He stayed frozen. I told him in person, but that’s how he reacted.”
Valentina isn’t too worried about the changes happening to her body though. Sharing her perspective on the physical aspect of her pregnancy journey, she said, “As long as I take this as something natural and let it flow, I won’t be thinking about how long I have left or if I’ll gain weight, I’m just going to live this day by day.”
“That’s helped me a lot,” she added.
“I won’t stop doing the most important things, like my career, it’s something I love,” she continued. “I want to do something that I love and that’s my passion, [but that I also] can raise my children and still work.”
