We’ll soon be seeing J.Lo, Cardi B and Lili Reinhart on the big screen – together!
STX Entertainment announced on Tuesday (March 19) that the “Be Careful” rapper has joined the all-star cast of the upcoming movie Hustlers. She’ll be starring alongside Jennifer Lopez, Lili Reinhart, Keke Palmer, Julia Stiles, Mercedes Ruehl and Constance Wu for the project.
So, what’s the movie about?
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the film is an adaptation of the New York Magazine article “Hustlers at Scores,” which tells the story of a group of strippers in New York who devised a plan to steal from their wealthy clients. The story is set in the late 2000s, during the financial crisis.
Cardi might just be uniquely qualified for the job – she has always been open about her past occupation as a stripper before making it big on the rap scene.
“We could not have asked for a more exciting or talented lineup of performers to join our cast,” Adam Fogelson, chairman of STXfilms, said in a statement to THR.
In other news…
J.Lo and A-Rod, one of Hollywood’s most adored couples, have just gotten engaged.
We’ve all seen the uber romantic photos from their engagement in the Bahamas, but apart from what they’ve been sharing on social media, they haven’t really spoken out about their engagement publicly – until now.
“We’re really happy,” Jennifer told People. And Alex adds, “We have [an] appreciation for where we are in our lives today, and that’s what we’re enjoying the most.”
They also revealed that engagement isn’t the only thing they’re working on together – the power couple have just become the newest brand ambassadors for Australian eyewear label, Quay. They’ve also released their own line of sunnies with the brand – Quay x JLo and Quay x ARod.
They also opened up about working together as a team.
“Everything that we do, we do together,” JLo said. “He knows my dreams and I know his dreams, and together we feel like we’re stronger.”
“We’re constantly supporting each other in our individual endeavors and thinking about all the things that we can build together,” the World Of Dance judge continued.
“We are very grateful,” Alex added.
Congratulations again to the happy couple!
