Jason Momoa is dishing on deets about the DCEU!

On Wednesday (December 12), Jason walked the blue carpet at Hollywood’s TCL Chinese Theatre for the premiere for his solo film in the DC Extended Universe, Aquaman. But walking wasn’t all he did – he gave fans a few surprises too!

One of them is the happy news the Henry Cavill is “absolutely not” hanging up his cape as Superman.

“I just talked to Henry… He’s absolutely not [leaving]. He loves the character. ” Jason told Entertainment Tonight. “He’s not. One hundred percent.”

“It’s absolutely not [going to happen],” he insisted.

OMG! That’s definitely exciting news!

Another surprise he gave the crowd at the premiere was a performance of the Haka – a traditional dance in Māori culture.

The actor went from walking down the red carpet with his family – wife Lisa Bonnet and children Lola and Nakoa-Wolf – to grabbing his trident and stripping off his black jacket to bust out the moves and bellow the chants of the Haka.

He was joined by fellow dancers – a group of his pals that he flew in for the event – as well as his co-star Temuera Morrison, and even his kids! During the performance, the King Of Atlantis even smashed his trident across his nee and broke it in half!

As for what inspired him to do the dance, he told E! News he considered it an ‘offering’ and that he had dedicated a lot of his energy to honoring his heritage and culture.

“We wanted to give our love. And it was an offering. Beautiful moment,” he told the news outlet.

According to Variety, this high honor has been performed as a welcome ceremony to important guests, at graduation ceremonies, at the 2011 Rugby World Cup, to memorialize the dead at funerals, and even at weddings (some of which have gone viral). And anyone can perform the Haka – it’s not genderspecific. Dwayne Johnson performed the Haka ceremony with a girl’s soccer team in The Fast and Furious 8.

And the crowd broke into cheers and applause after their epic performance.

Aquaman will hit theaters on December 21st.

Jason Momoa and Lenny Kravitz are two of the coolest guys ever, and it looks like they have a bromance going on too.

How cool are they? Well, Jason is currently married to Lenny’s ex-wife Lisa Bonet. Lenny and Lisa share one child together – 30-year-old actress Zoe Kravitz. Jason and Lisa now have two children together – Lola and Nakoa-Wolf. But these two are taking the meaning of the modern family to new levels.

Over the weekend, Lenny showed his support for the Aquamanstar when he hosted Saturday Night Live – posting a photo outside his dressing room and calling Jason his “brother.”

And Jason even had friendship rings made for the two of them.

“My friend, he made this bone ring since I wanted to get one, and he liked it so I wanted him to have one,” Jason told ET about the touching gift.

And the rings appear to be symbolic of their family ties.

“Yeah, looking out for each other for sure,” he said.
