Jeff Goldblum isn’t just your favorite quirky actor—he’s also a jazz musician, and his latest musical project is here. The 72-year-old entertainer has just dropped a new album, Still Blooming, alongside The Mildred Snitzer Orchestra. And this one’s got some serious star power.
The album, a nine-track collection of jazz standards, features fresh takes on classics from the Golden Era of Broadway and the Great American Songbook. To bring the songs to life, Jeff teamed up with a few familiar faces—including his Wicked co-stars Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo, as well as Scarlett Johansson and Maiya Sykes.
“JEFFIANA…finally here! ‘I Don’t Know Why (I Just Do)’ is yours now, from me and my beloved friend @arianagrande. Give it a listen now. 💗🌸💕💄🌺💖🎀💐💞👛🌷💓,” Jeff gushed on Instagram, announcing the collaboration with Grande.
He also shared a heartfelt message about his reunion with Cynthia Erivo: “Beyond lucky to be reunited with my wickedly talented colleague and dearest friend @cynthiaerivo on our new rendition of ‘We’ll Meet Again,’ out now on my new album Still Blooming. 🌱🎼🌈🎹🎤🌌💫🍀💚”
Cynthia responded in kind, commenting, “Love you @jeffgoldblum, see you soon!!! 😉💚,” teasing their upcoming reunion to promote Wicked: For Good.
Scarlett Johansson lends her vocals to another track, adding a sultry twist to the vintage tunes. Maiya Sykes, a powerhouse in her own right, rounds out the guest list, bringing jazz energy and vocal brilliance to the project.
Known for his whimsical charm and distinctive voice, Jeff Goldblum has managed to merge his love for acting and music in a way that feels totally authentic. While fans are used to seeing him on screen in eccentric roles, this musical side of Jeff continues to surprise and delight.
Still Blooming is already generating buzz not just among Goldblum fans, but also within the jazz world for its beautiful take on well-loved standards.
With Wicked hype building and Goldblum clearly in his creative groove, it’s safe to say he’s having a moment. And lucky for us, it sounds really, really good.
