JENNIE is stepping into the solo spotlight in a big way! The 29-year-old BLACKPINK singer and actress has officially released her debut solo album, Ruby, and it’s a powerhouse of personal storytelling and star-studded collaborations.
Fans have already fallen in love with tracks like “Mantra,” “ZEN,” and “ExtraL” featuring Doechii. But Ruby offers even more surprises, with collaborations from Childish Gambino, Dua Lipa, FKJ, Kali Uchis, and a standout duet, “Love Hangover,” with Dominic Fike.
In a statement about the album, JENNIE opened up about its deeper meaning. “This album holds great significance as it tells my story as a solo artist through my own voice and vision. Inspired by As You Like It, it captures themes of birth, love, faith, and zenith.”
She also revealed that the album’s theatrical elements symbolize her evolution as an artist. “The opening of the theater curtains symbolizes the beginning of a new chapter in my musical career. Working on this album was a precious process of growing as an artist and finding my true voice.”
To celebrate the release, JENNIE also dropped the vibrant music video for her latest single, “like JENNIE.” Fans can stream Ruby on Spotify, Apple Music, and Amazon Music, or grab a physical copy from Amazon, Walmart, or Barnes & Noble.
