Jennifer Hudson just reached a major milestone in her career.

The 40-year-old is now officially an EGOT winner. She achieved the coveted status after winning her first Tony award on Sunday (June 12) as the producer of A Stranger Loop. A Stranger Loop took home the award for Best Musical.

Jennifer now joins the elite ranks of talented individuals who have won an Emmy, a Grammy, an Oscar, and a Tony.

Before she won her Tony, Jennifer won an Oscar back in 2007 for her role in Dreamgirls. She won two Grammys – the first in 2009 for her self-titled debut album and then again in 2017 for the Broadway cast recording of The Color Purple. She won a Daytime Emmy in 2021 for executive producing the animated movie Baby Yaga.

Jennifer now finds her place alongside 16 other artists and entertainers who have likewise reached EGOT status. She is the second Black woman to achieve EGOT status, behind Whoopie Golberg, and the third Black person, alongside Whoopi and John Legend. Jennifer is the fifth female to win all four major awards, behind Whoopi, Rita Moreno, Audrey Hepburn, and Helen Hayes.

Congratulations, Jennifer!
