Jennifer Lopez’s Instagram posts over the weekend is sparking more speculations about her rumored split with fiancé Alex Roddriguez.
Last month, multiple reports came out that the pair have ended their engagement. However, J.Lo and A-Rod have repeatedly assured fans that J-Rod is still very much a thing – A-Rod himself has declared that he is “not” single, although according to their joint statement, they are “working through some things.”
Alex even flew to Dominican Republic multiple weekends to visit his lady love while she’s on location filming her upcoming movie Shotgun Wedding where they were snapped by paps looking oh-so-cozy.
However, J.Lo’s seemingly mixed signals on social media is sparking another round of debate among fans.
After Alex shared their couples photo on his Instagram – their first photo together since breakup speculations began swirling – announcing a new brand partnership, J.Lo posted a video of her “Sunday Mood” on Instagram Story, which apparently involves chilling in the pool wearing a teeny-tiny yellow bikini, sipping on a mimosa and vibing to Drake and DJ Khaled’s track “Popstar.” Notably absent from her post was Alex.
The post brought up memories of J.Lo and Drake’s rumored romance – the two sparked dating speculations in 2017, before J.Lo and A-Rod started dating.
J.Lo seemed to shut that down at the time though. During an interview on The Daily Show in March 2017, she said, “Let me clear this up. I am not with Drake. Maybe that’s all I need to say.” And news that J.Lo and A-Rod were dating hit the headlines the very next day.
However, fans have been wondering if her choice of “Sunday Mood” soundtrack may have been a subtle message (Read: a possible dig at A-Rod.) Also, the track is all about living the popstar life, which pretty much covers being rich, carefree…and single.
Then again, the song is a bop, so maybe J.Lo just wants to vibe to something upbeat. Besides, she also went on TikTok wuth another video of herself – and her abs – dancing to “Astronaut In The Ocean” by Masked Wolf.
It’s still unclear whether A-Rod is still in the Dominican Republic with Jennifer. However, J.Lo and the rest of the Shotgun Wedding crew seem to be getting ready to head home – she recently thanked the resort they were staying in on Instagram.
