Jeremy Renner is “critical but stable” in the hospital after suffering traumatic injuries in an accident.

His rep released a statement on his condition:

“We can confirm Jeremy is in critical but stable condition with injuries suffered after experiencing a weather-related accident while plowing snow earlier today.

His family is with him, and he is receiving excellent care.”

On Sunday (January 1), officers at the Washoe County Sheriff’s Office got a call for help for a weather-related accident. Jeremy owns a home in the Northern Nevada area, which experienced heavy snowfall on New Year’s Eve. Public information officer Kristin Vietti said in a statement:

“Upon arrival, deputies coordinated with Truckee Meadows Fire Protection District and REMSA Health to arrange for medical transport of Mr. Jeremy Renner via care flight to a local area hospital. Mr. Renner was the only involved party.”

New details on the 51-year-old Hawkeye star’s “extensive” injury have since been revealed. TMZ reported that Jeremy was plowing the road near his home after the huge snowstorm, reportedly so hat relatives could get off the property after the holiday weekend.

One neighbor told the publication that Jeremy’s plowing vehicle, called a “Snowcat”, ended up running over one of Jeremy’s legs and that “he was losing a lot of blood from the injury.” Another neighbor, whois a doctor, saw the scene and was able to extend help to Jeremy, applying a tourniquet to his leg to help with the blood loss.

A different source revealed to TMZ that Jeremy’s injury is “extensive” and that “along with his leg, other parts of his body have been injured.” He was airlifted to a hospital.

According to new reports, Jeremy underwent a second surgery. His family released their first statement on his condition via his reps:

“We can confirm that Jeremy has suffered blunt chest trauma and orthopedic injuries and has undergone surgery today, January 2nd 2023. He has returned from surgery and remains in the intensive care unit in critical but stable condition.

Jeremy’s family would like to express their gratitude to the incredible doctors and nurses looking after him, Truckee Meadows Fire and Rescue, Washoe County Sheriff, Reno City Mayor Hillary Schieve and the Carano and Murdock families. They are also tremendously overwhelmed and appreciative of the outpouring of love and support from his fans.”
