It seems Jessica Alba doesn’t have the fondest memories from her time on Beverly Hills 90210.

Back in 1998, Jessica guest-starred on the show’s eighth season. Her two-episode stint had her sharing scenes with the several of the show’s stars, including Jason Priestley, Jennie Garth, and more. And Jessica, who played pregnant teen Leanne, claims that she was given some pretty surprising rules to follow.

“On the set of 90210, I couldn’t even make eye contact with any of the cast members, which was really strange when you’re, like, trying to do a scene with them,” Jessica said on last Thursday’s (October 1) episode of Hot Ones. “It was like, ‘You’re not allowed to make eye contact with any one of the cast members or you’ll be thrown off the set.'”

BH90210 ran for 10 season, with the OG cast comprising of Jason, Jennie, Ian Ziering, Brian Austin Green, Tori Spelling, Shannen Doherty, and Gabrielle Carteris – and two of them are reacting to those claims.

Last year, the cast reunited for the show’s reboot – a meta-fictional take on the behind-the-scenes of making a reboot. (Side note: Luke Perry was also part of the original cast. Following his passing in March 2019, they honored him on the show.) Although the reboot only ran for one season, the show has since celebrated the 30th anniversary of its premiere.

Jennie and Tori also teamed up for a new podcast 9021OMG, which will launch on November 9th. And in a teaser clip of the show’s upcoming first episode, the two shared their reactions to Jessica’s recollection of her time on the BH90210 set.

“Did you tell her not to look me in the eye?” Jennie asked Tori.

“Why is it all about you?” Tori teased.

“Well, because I had all the scenes with her. Like, if anybody didn’t want to have their eyes looked into, it would’ve been me,” Jennie replied. “But I don’t remember, because I have the world’s worst memory.”

Tori also admitted to being “a little horrified” about Jessica’s comments – and also wondered if there were some things on set that they were kept in the dark about, speculating if there was “some cool memo that was going around from the producers or the ADs and we didn’t even know.”

“Imagine we just thought guest stars didn’t like us. They never looked at us!” she exclaimed. “We don’t know why! We were so nice!”

The co-stars also heaped praises on the Honey actress, with Tori showing her lover for one product from Jessica’s Honest Company.

“Her baby wipes are my favorite. Like, I wipe my child’s a– with her baby wipes every single day,” Tori, who shares five children with hubby Dean McDermott, said. And hearing Jessica’s comment got her “so upset.”

Jennie, on the other hand, shared her “vague memories” of working with Jessica being all “super talented,” “very young” and “really sweet.”

“It does not surprise me that she’s gone on to be so successful,” Jennie said.
