Jessica Simpson is officially back in the music game! After more than a decade away from the studio, the 44-year-old singer has just dropped her brand-new song, “Use My Heart Against Me,” marking her long-awaited return to music.
This is the first track Jessica has released since her 2008 album, Do You Know. A lot has changed since then, both in her personal life and career, including her recent split from husband Eric Johnson. But one thing remains the same—her deep connection to music.
Sharing her excitement on Instagram, Jessica wrote, “Music makes you un-become to become, and through this process my soul has been pulled to the very place it belongs. To the girl I was, I love you. To the woman I am, I am proud of you. To the woman I am becoming, I am excited for you…. let’s do this… it’s GO TIME.”
Her new song will be featured on her upcoming EP, Nashville Canyon, Part 1, hinting at a fresh, country-infused sound. With this release, Jessica is proving that no matter how much time passes, her voice still holds the same magic fans have loved for years.
