Jessie J made a powerful appearance at Capital’s Summertime Ball, not just with her voice, but with a message that deeply resonated with fans.

The 37-year-old “Price Tag” singer took to the stage at Wembley Stadium in London on Sunday (June 15), telling the crowd that this would be her last public performance before she begins treatment for breast cancer.

Wearing a chic black dress with sheer sleeves and a striking gold detail, Jessie delivered a performance full of heart and gratitude. Then came the heartfelt announcement.

She shared with the audience that it would be her final show before stepping away to focus on her health. “Beat breast cancer” were the powerful words she used to describe what’s next.

Later that night, Jessie gave fans a peek behind the curtain of her emotional day through a series of Instagram Story updates.

“If you ever wonder what I do after a show. First I went to dinner with some beautiful inspiring friends and now I’ve got home, showered first, oilatum cream thick on my face so I look like Mrs Doubtfire,” she joked.

“While the house is dark and everyone is asleep. I’ve unpacked my bags, done some house chores, washed Sky’s cup and put washing away,” she continued. “Now I’m sitting in the Sky’s room just staring at him. Having a needed a well earned cry. Happy and scared tears. This boy. My whole heart. What a special day today was.”

In a follow-up post, Jessie added some humour to the vulnerability. “I hope Sky doesn’t wake up because I will legit scare the s— out of him,” she said, using a GIF of Robin Williams in Mrs. Doubtfire for emphasis.

Jessie also posted a behind-the-scenes recap of the performance on Instagram, writing, “One of my favourite shows I have ever done in the past 15 years of this beautiful crazy life of mine. Wow.”

As she steps into the next chapter with courage and honesty, fans around the world are cheering her on—waiting for the day she takes the stage again, stronger than ever.
