Joe Alwyn and Taylor Swift are known to be a notoriously private couple, fiercely protective about their relationship. It’s very, very seldom that either of them addresses their long-term relationship in public, and fans of the pair are always eager to hear more about the loved-up couple.
Now, Joe is gifting us all with a very rare comment about him and Taylor’s relationship.
Speaking to Deadline about his new Hulu series Conversations With Friends, Joe was asked about open relationships, to which he responded:
“I think people can do what they want and makes them happy.”
He went on to speak about his own love life, declaring:
“I’m obviously very happy in a monogamous relationship.”
Awwww.
Joe spoke more about his new project, saying:
“I think one of the interesting things about [author Sally Rooney’s] writings and what she explores is happiness, love, desire, and intimacy outside of those constructs that we create for ourselves, whether that’s friendships or families or relationships.
So I think as a conversation it’s endlessly fascinating, and one of the reasons why people love her books, and our refusal to — without giving things away — tie things up at the end of her stories in a neat bow. It’s just constantly thought-provoking.”
