Joe Jonas is back with new solo music for the first time in over a decade! The 34-year-old musician, best known as one-third of the Jonas Brothers, has just released his latest single, “Work It Out.” The song dropped at midnight on Friday, July 18, marking his return to solo projects with the upcoming album Music For People Who Believe In Love.
This release is a significant milestone for Joe, as it has been 13 years since his first solo album Fastlife hit the shelves. Fans have eagerly awaited new solo work from the artist, and “Work It Out” does not disappoint. The track is a fresh, upbeat anthem that showcases Joe’s growth as an artist while retaining the catchy, vibrant style he’s known for.
In a recent interview on SiriusXM’s Andy Cohen Live, Joe shared some insights into the making of the new single. “I wrote this like two months ago, but it happened quite quickly. It was the last, one of the last songs to get to be a part of this album,” Joe revealed. This quick turnaround time highlights Joe’s dedication and creative energy in bringing his solo music back to life.
Joe also mentioned the collaborative process behind “Work It Out,” expressing his excitement about working with acclaimed producer Jason Evigan. “I worked with some great people on this project and Jason Evigan who’s worked with, he did a bunch of stuff with Dua Lipa, Charli XCX, just to name a few. He was like, ‘Hey, I’ve got a song I want to play you.’ I just played him a bunch of music, so I sent it to him. He was like, ‘I got one.’ Sends it to me and I’m like, ‘Alright, we gotta work on this,’ and so it came to us in like, 30 minutes.” This collaboration has clearly paid off, resulting in a song that feels both contemporary and uniquely Joe.
The announcement of Joe’s new album, Music For People Who Believe In Love, has already generated a buzz among fans and music enthusiasts. The album promises to be a collection of songs that reflect Joe’s experiences and artistic evolution over the years. With “Work It Out” setting the tone, listeners can expect a mix of heartfelt lyrics and infectious melodies.
Joe’s return to solo music also brings a sense of nostalgia for fans who have followed his journey since the early days of the Jonas Brothers. While the band remains active and continues to produce music together, Joe’s solo projects allow him to explore different musical avenues and express himself in new ways.

[Intro]
(Uh)
[Verse 1]
Come on, Joe, you got so much more to be grateful for
Stop bein’ sad ’cause you’re makin’ the room uncomfortable
Okay, I get it, right now, you’re feelin’ so miserable
Sometimes I wish I had powers to be invisible
Even baddies get saddies and that’s the hardest truth
Called your mommy and daddy, they don’t know what to do
You’re seein’ everything backwards when it’s so beautiful
Sometimes I need remindin’
[Chorus]
Hello, hello, hello, hello, wake up, tomorrow is now
Get up, get up, get up, get up, what are you whinin’ about?
No, nobody’s gonna save you now, no, nobody’s gonna pull you out
Brush your shoulders off, life’s gonna work it out (Hey)
[Verse 2]
So you think you’re too cool to go to therapy
But look at you, your anxieties got anxieties
You go to bed with a head full of insecurities
Nobody cares what you said back when you were seventeen
Okay, maybe I’m a little dramatic
Okay, maybe I’m a little manic
Some days, I wanna float away
Sometimes I need remindin’
[Chorus]
Hello, hello, hello, hello, wake up, tomorrow is now
Get up, get up, get up, get up, what are you whinin’ about?
No, nobody’s gonna save you now, no, nobody’s gonna pull you out
Brush your shoulders off, life’s gonna work it out
[Outro]
La-la-la-la-la-la-la-la-la-la-la-la-la-la-la
La-la-la-la-la-la-la-la-la-la-la-la-la-la-la
No, nobody’s gonna save you now, no, nobody’s gonna pull you out
Brush your shoulders off, life’s gonna work it out
