John Legend And Dax Shepard are ‘fessing up about certain past behaviors they’re not particularly proud of.
While we now know these two to be one-half of a #relationshipgoals couple – John and Chrissy Teigen have been married since 2013; Dax and Kristen Bell also tied the knot that same year – apparently, there are some things from their past they’re not proud of.
Dax brought up the topic of cheating on his podcast, Armchair Expert With Dax Shepard, where John joined him for a chat.
“So, I have a horrendous history of cheating, f–king deplorable,” Dax confessed. He went on to recount that when he started getting the ladies’ attentions in Middle School, he just “couldn’t sa no to them.”
“Any attention from a girl, I had to have it at all costs,” he added.
John also shared his own story.
“I think what happened for me, personally, you go through a lot of your life in your teens — and I was like the ‘two years younger kid than everybody’ in high school and college, and so I just didn’t get a lot of girls when I was younger,” he explained. “When I started to get that attention, I loved it. I just ate it up.”
“I escaped ‘technically cheating’ by keeping my relationship ill-defined. But it was really cheating,” he continued. “I definitely was dishonest and selfish and just enjoyed this new attention I was getting. It was happening before I was famous but when I was kind of on my way.”
But his turning point was when he decided that Chrissy was the one for him.
“You just realize you’re happier being honest,” John said. “You’re happier being faithful and being in love with one person. At a certain point, I just decided that person was Chrissy. I decided I wasn’t gonna mess with anybody else anymore.”
As for the pressures of being in high profile relationships, Dax admitted that he gets stressed about it sometimes.
“I think, ‘I could blow this whole thing up,'” Dax said. “That’s certainly something I’ve done. And now, the whole world is watching. There is a stress about that for me.”
John, on the other hand, is taking it in stride. He also joked that he would never cheat on Chrissy because it would be the end of his career.
“I feel like it makes it even more less likely that I would f–k it up,” he said. “Chrissy has however many million Twitter followers. If I were to do anything, it would be career suicide. It would be terrible. It just gives you another reason to not f–k it up.”
Well, Chrissy’s millions of followers got a sneak peek of John in the shower on Monday – when she posted a ~cheeky~ photo of him on her Instagram Story.
On Monday (July 13), Chrissy snapped a mirror selfie in their massive bathroom in this uber cute one-piece swimsuit. The thing is, she did it while John was in the shower – which was fully visible from the mirror!
But girl wasn’t about to let the whole world see the “All Of Me” singer’s goods – she did preserve his modesty with a well-placed hand in the photo.
