Chrissy Teigen is still recovering from her recent surgery, and hubby John Legend and their kids Luna and Miles to help.
In a recent interview with OprahMag.com, John opened up about life in the Legend household the past few weeks.
“We’ve had a lot going on in the house,” John said. “[Chrissy] is recovering — she had plastic surgery a couple weeks ago that she’s told everyone about. It takes recovery time whenever you let someone cut you up a bit, so I’ve been trying to help her as much as possible.”
“The babies have been trying to help and not sit on her too much,” he continued. “She’s still a little sore, but she’s getting much better, and she gave me a wonderful Father’s Day yesterday so I’m appreciative.”
As a refresher, Chrissy got candid about getting breast augmentation when she was 20 for her cover story interview in the Spring/Summer 2020 issue of Glamour UK.
“Yeah, I did my boobs when I was about 20 years old,” she admitted. “It was more for a swimsuit thing. I thought, if I’m going to be posing, laid on my back, I want them to be perky! But then you have babies and they fill up with milk and deflate and now I am screwed.”
She says she didn’t really want bigger boobs, just to enhance them.
“Honestly, I kept them the same cup size. I just filled them out, so they are rounder and firmer,” Chrissy said. “I had a quarter ‘teardrop’ cup in the bottom and filled out the breast line.”
But what seemed like a good idea then isn’t so practical for her now that she’s a mom – she has two kids to think about!
“But I want them out now,” she continued. “If I could do one thing, it would be to have a lift. I think you’re supposed to replace [implants] every ten years. But when you have kids you think about [the risks] of surgery and I think, ‘This is not the way I want to die, in boob surgery.'”
In May, Chrissy revealed that she was going under the knife to have her breast implants removed.
“I’m getting my boobs out! They’ve been great to me for many years but I’m just over it. I’d like to be able to zip a dress in my size, lay on my belly with pure comfort! No biggie! So don’t worry about me! All good. I’ll still have boobs, they’ll just be pure fat. Which is all a tit is in the first place. A dumb, miraculous bag of fat. ❤️” she wrote on Instagram.
She later gave an update on Instagram of how the surgery went, and shared the sweet note that Luna made for her.
“Surgery went perfectly! So so so so so sore but waking up to this made it go away for half a minute at least,” she captioned a photo of the note.
Get well soon, Chrissy!
