Are they or aren’t they?
John Mayer and Kourtney Kardashian sparked romance rumors when they were spotted at a GQ party last year.
When Kourtney went on Ellen last month and played a game of “Who’d You Rather?”, Ellen DeGeneres pitted a photo of John against the likes of Zac Efron, Michael B. Jordan, Shawn Mendes and more. Kourt kept on choosing John, except when it came down the singer vs. Leonardo DiCaprio – she chose both.
So are they actually a thing? Should we sound the new couple alert?
According to John, it’s all just a rumor.
On Monday (May 13), the “Your Body Is A Wonderland” singer chatted with his pal Andy Cohen on SiriusXM’s Radio Andy, where the radio host asked him point blanc about reports that “came after her” at a party.
According to John, “Yeah, that turns out to not be true.”
The did meet at a party – that much is true. “I ran into Kourtney at a party that I kind of crashed, it was a GQ party and I crashed it towards the end,” he recalled.
“I ran into the bass player from the Scorpions,” he shared. “…And then Kourtney Kardashian walks up and I said, ‘Kourtney, walk away. He’s the bass player from the Scorpions, he’s going to try to get you in a video.’ …All I did was save Kourtney Kardashian from being in a video with the bass player from the Scorpions.”
He also has a theory about how the whole romance rumor thing might have gotten started.
“I got to be honest with you, little suspicious about the origin of the story. I’m not sure the calls are not coming from inside the house on this one,” he disclosed. “…I will say, if the call is coming from inside the house, it’s diabolical and genius.”
“When people start gossiping about you and someone else, and they start putting your picture together, it gets real suggestive,” he added. “You’re like, ‘Well, if I do then everything kind of falls into place because everyone is already putting us together.’ So, it’s a genius idea.”
But he’s got nothing against Kourtney or the rest of the Kardashians though.
“I actually like the Kardashians,” John said. “If you break it down to your interactions with them, they’re very nice people.”
“I think any objection to them is more philosophical, and I don’t really have a philosophical objection to people that I don’t get on with every day,” he continued.
And as for his dating life, “I just think I’m post-celebrity relationship probably in my life,” John dished.
He’s totally cool with the romance rumor though – except for one thing:
“The only part that made me upset to any degree was that somebody said that when I saw Kourtney, I said, ‘It was sweet serendipity running into you,’ which I would never say,” he quipped. “…I didn’t say that because that’s hyper corny.”
In other Kardashian news…
Last week, Kim Kardashian-West and hubby Kanye West welcomed their fourth child via surrogacy.
The KUWTK star shared the news on Twitter, writing, “He’s here and he’s perfect.”
The famous couple still haven’t announced the name of their little bundle of joy, but fans think Kim may have been posting hints about it on social media – because of one particular emoji.
The reality star has been sharing photos of some preparations they’ve made to welcome the baby – like her CBD-themed baby shower.
“We celebrated our baby boy about a week ago and now he’s here! He’s so perfect! Here are some pics of my CBD baby shower. I was freaking out for nothing because he is the most calm and chill of all of my babies so far and everyone loves him so much (bear emoji),” she wrote in her tweet alongside photos from the party.
She also tweeted another set of photos from the event simply captioned with another bear emoji.
Fans have taken to twitter to share their theories on Kimye’s youngest child.
“I’m guessing his name is bear west,” one fan wrote.
“Igh, Teddy makes sense. But Bear West is honestly a heavy contender,” another shared.
“bear west? teddy west? teddybear west?” a fan asked.
“Dear Kim Kardashian West please surprise us with a normal name in reference to that bear emoji..
i was thinking the name ‘Yogi West’ because it might have been Kanye’s favorite fictional cartoon character,” one fan tweeted. “I don’t know about any of this really but come on.. 👣🐻”
Do you agree with their theories?
