Jonathan Majors is guilty.
The Marvel actor has been found guilty of third degree assault and guilty of harassment by a jury in New York. He was found not guilty on one count of assault and for second degree aggravated harassment.
As the verdict was being read, Jonathan was reportedly seated with his lawyer. His family and his girlfriend, Meagan Good, were seated behind him.
In case you missed it, Jonathan was arrested back on March 25, 2023 following an alleged domestic dispute with Grace Jabbari, his then-girlfriend. He was faced with charges of assault and misdemeanor, aggravated harassment, and harassment.
The actor pleaded not guilty to the charges.
Grace testified during the trial and said she was scared of him during the course of their relationship. His disturbing text messages were likewise revealed.
After he was found guilty, outlets confirmed that Jonathan was dropped by Marvel Studios and will no longer play King the Conqueror going forward in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
The 24-year-old actor’s attorney, Priya Chaudhry, spoke out in a statement following the guilty verdict. Priya said:
“It is clear that the jury did not believe Grace Jabbari’s story of what happened in the SUV because they found that Mr. Majors did not intentionally cause any injuries to her.
We are grateful for that..”
The lawyer went on to say:
“We are disappointed, however, that despite not believing Ms. Jabbari, the jury nevertheless found that Mr. Majors was somehow reckless while she was attacking him. Mr. Majors is grateful to God, his family, his friends, and his fans for their love and support during these harrowing eight months.
Mr. Majors still has faith in the process and looks forward to fully clearing his name.”
