Joshua Bassett is not ok with fans expressing hate.
The 22-year-old actor and singer quietly shut down a heckler who expressed negativity about Olivia Rodrigo during his Complicated tour.
The incident happened as he was performing at Portland, Oregon’s Rosalind Theater. During his performance of “Set Me Free,” an audience member began to shout some choice words about his rumored ex.
A video of the incident that was shared on social media showed the heckler shouting:
“F**k Olivia.”
Joshua heard what was said, and he could be seen turning towards the audience to try and pinpoint who it came from. He then shook his head as he rolled his eyes and continued to sing and play despite what had just occurred.
Joshua and Olivia, who co-starred on High School Musical” The Musical” The Series, were hounded by dating rumors all throughout the first season of the Disney+ plus series, before Olivia dropped her breakout debut single “Driver’s License” — which seemed to be about Joshua.
