Joshua Jackson has a sizzling new show in the works!
It’s been announced that the 43-year-old actor is the male lead in Paramount Plus’ upcoming Fatal Attraction series. Josh will be starring opposite Lizzy Caplan in the reimagining of the wildly popular, cult classic film which has made a big mark in pop culture.
The new Paramount Plus show is said to be a contemporary reinterpretation of the 1987 hit movie that starred Michael Douglas and Glenn Close. The series will explore fatal attraction as well as themes of infidelity and marriage through the lens of modern views on strong women, coercive control, and personality disorders.
Josh will play Dan Gallagher, who becomes the object of obsession of Alex, played by Lizzy, after a brief affair.
President of Paramount Plus Original Scripted Series Nicole Clemens said in a statement on Thursday (January 20):
“Joshua is an incredible talent who creates beautifully complicated characters on both the screen and stage.
He and Lizzy are perfectly matched to tell a nuanced and modern narrative about the complexities of the human psyche. We’re thrilled to partner with them to bring this provocative and captivating story to a new generation.”
Josh has been TV royalty for many years, from his six-year-stint as ultimate teen dreamboat Pacey Witter on Dawson’s Creek to his more recent, compelling turns in shows like Dr. Death, Little Fires Everywhere, and When They See Us.
