Julia Fox is getting candid about her past relationship with Kanye West.
The 32-year-old Uncut Gems actress and 45-year-old rapper made headlines when they dated briefly earlier this year. They split up after just a few weeks together.
In a brand new interview, Julia opened up about how their relationship began, the red flags she saw, and more.
She was asked if they were a PR couple just to get press and attention, to which she said:
“That’s such bulls—-. He got my number through a mutual friend, period.”
Julia recounted that once she found there was “a good amount” of romantic spark,” they took their relationship “day by day” so they could see “where it went.” She stated:
“I was just going day by day and seeing where it went.
It was just like, he still wants to hang out with me today, let’s do it.”
She went on the say that after they took it day by day and spent time together sporadically, reality set in:
“Real life set in and the lifestyle wasn’t sustainable.
I couldn’t fly away once a week. And I tapped out at the first sign on a red flag.”
Julia elaborated on those red flags:
“The unresolved issues that he was dealing with. It just seems like he had a lot to work on, and I just don’t have time for it, or energy.
I don’t have the bandwidth or emotional capacity for it.”
She spoke about how pre-Valentino (her son with Peter Artemiev) she would have stuck around longer, declaring about knowing when to end things:
“I’m proud of myself for that.”
