Fans have been caught up in Justin and Hailey Bieber’s whirlwind romance ever since they rekindled their relationship early last year.
After Justin’s proposal in the Bahamas last July, their secret wedding in New York in September, and finally confirming their married status in November, fans are looking forward to another big day for the couple – their religious wedding celebration.
Although the lovebirds are already legally married, they’ve yet to become husband and wife in the eyes of God. Both Justin and Hailey are Christians and reportedly want to have a religious wedding ceremony.
News made the rounds early this year that the couple were planning to tie the knot again – this time in front of friends and loved ones. The couple were planning a January wedding at first, but later decided to delay the celebration.
“They have a wedding planner and were hoping to make a January date work. They can’t wait to celebrate with family and friends and have a big party. But, January is here and they are still working out details and planning,” a source explained to E! News.
This was followed by reports that the couple has moved the wedding down to Feburary, and that the couple has sent Save The Date texts to family and friends for February 28.
But, according to TMZ, the big day will go down on the weekend of March 1 – which also happens fall on Justin’s 25th birthday. But that might be as late as it gets pushed back as a source tells the outlet that Justin wanted to be a ‘married’ man by his next bday.
With Justin’s superstar status and Hailey hailing from Hollywood royalty, it looks like their big day won’t be short of A-list guests – although it looks like the couple will be going for a more intimate wedding.
“Justin and Hailey have been telling friends they want to have a smaller wedding, with close family and friends, nothing too over the top,” a source told ET.
TMZ reports that among those to receive the Save The Date invites are Kylie Jenner and Travis Scott.
As for who will be part of the wedding party, Hailey previously told The Cut that her older sister, Alaia, will be bridesmaid at her wedding. The 22-year-old model’s aunt, Kim Basinger, has also teased that both Alaia and Hailey’s cousin, Ireland, will be “in the wedding”. The bride also reportedly hopes that Jazmyn, Justin’s 10-year-old sister, will be the flower girl.
Save The Date invite didn’t mention a location. While there have been speculations of the wedding taking place in Canada, TMZ says it’ll happen stateside – somewhere in L.A. This piece of news actually jives with something Hailey has previously said.
“I think having it in the woods would be so beautiful,” Hailey told The Cut of her ideal location. She added that she has a wedding planner looking for a spot on the West Coast.
But wherever it will be, it will be full of lights. “I just picture lights strung everywhere,” she said.
Hailey wedding dress doesn’t seem to be ready yet, but she told The Cut that she has already chosen a designer (although the designer’s name is still under wraps).
As for the event itself, there will apparently be dancers (they’re already rehearsing), with Justin’s personal DJ, Tay James, laying down the beats at the event.
