Justin Baldoni has released raw footage from the set of It Ends With Us in response to allegations made by Blake Lively. The footage, shared by Daily Mail, includes a specific moment where the two actors joke about Baldoni’s nose—a topic that has now become central to a legal dispute.

Blake has claimed that she was fat-shamed by Baldoni during filming, but his lawsuit refutes this and points to an instance where she allegedly body-shamed him instead, suggesting he needed a nose job. The released footage shows the exchange between the two was lighthearted and playful, shedding a different light on the claims.

The lawsuit filed by Baldoni states, “Lively took them out of character again and began to joke about Baldoni’s nose, which he laughed off and joked in turn, even as Lively joked that he should get plastic surgery.”

It continues, “While on the one hand Lively accuses Baldoni of making comments about her appearance, on the other she made derogatory comments about Baldoni’s appearance, telling him he should undergo rhinoplasty (a nose job)—something Baldoni has publicly expressed insecurities about and has discussed on an episode of his podcast, Man Enough, exploring the topic of body dysmorphia. Lively’s comment about Baldoni’s nose is also captured on camera. Baldoni, rather than write down a list of grievances against Lively, brushed it off and moved on with the scene.”

So, what exactly happened?

The scene in question features Justin and Blake slow dancing in an intimate moment, with their noses almost touching. As Blake begins to laugh, she comments, “I feel so nosey. I mean, it’s like just noses.”

Justin responds by making the first joke about his nose, saying, “I know. And my nose is so big.”

Blake then adds with a playful tone, “Yes, I was hoping that we could address this. It’s not too late. Just gotta shut down, gotta call an insurance month, and just deal with that. Just kidding.”

To keep the banter going, Justin adds, “No, it’s true. That’s why we hired Jenny Slate, too, our noses match.”

Justin’s legal team argues that the footage demonstrates professionalism and mutual respect between the actors. A statement at the beginning of the video reads, “Ms. Lively’s complaint alleges that during a scene… Mr. Baldoni was behaving inappropriately. The following videos captured on May 23, 2023, clearly refute Ms. Lively’s characterization of his behavior.”

The statement also notes that the scene was meant to depict the characters falling in love, adding, “Both actors are clearly behaving well within the scope of the scene and with mutual respect and professionalism.”

The full video is available on Daily Mail, with the moment in question occurring around the 5:40 mark.
