Justin Timberlake had a special message for fans during his second stop on the Forget Tomorrow World Tour, following his recent arrest for DWI. The pop superstar took a moment to address the incident and express his gratitude to his loyal supporters.
Earlier in the week, Justin found himself in hot water after being arrested for DWI following a night out in the Hamptons, New York. The news made headlines and undoubtedly added tension to his highly anticipated tour. However, Justin didn’t let this setback stop him from connecting with his fans during his performance in Chicago, Illinois, on Saturday night (June 22).
Taking the stage at the United Center, Justin opened up to the audience, saying, “This [tour] is just something that keeps watching over me, more so on this tour than any other. And that’s that mostly all of us here in this room tonight, in this arena tonight, have grown up together. So many of you come up to me and say, ‘I grew up with you, man.’” His words resonated deeply with the crowd, many of whom have followed his career since his early days in *NSYNC.
Justin continued, “I want each and every one of you to know I’ve grown up with you. You have been such a big and beautiful part of my life and sometimes I can’t find the words to show my gratitude that you guys just keep riding with me and riding with me.” The sincerity in his voice was palpable, and it was clear that this was a moment of genuine connection between the artist and his fans.
He went on to say, “And from the bottom of my heart, I want you to know that until I’m somewhere off this earth, I will never forget each and every one of you. You made my life so special. And tonight in Chicago, you have made us feel loved.” The crowd erupted in applause, reaffirming their unwavering support for the star.
The previous night, on Friday, Justin had already begun to address the week’s events during his first concert since the arrest. Performing again at the United Center, he broke his silence about what he described as a “tough week.”
“We’ve been together through ups and downs and lefts and rights and it’s been a tough week, but you’re here and I’m here, and nothing can change this moment,” Justin said, addressing his fans directly. “I know I’m hard to love sometimes, but you keep loving me and I love you right back.”
