Kaley Cuoco is getting real about motherhood.
On Monday (August 14), the 37-year-old Big Bang Theory star revealed that she is suffering from carpal tunnel syndrome — and that the reason she has it is from holding her five-month-old daughter, Matilda, too much!
In a video which was shared on the Instagram page of her personal trainer Ryan Sorenson, Kaley shared that she is trying a new workout that does not entail the use of her hands. She said in the video:
“Hey guys, so some of you may know I have this, like, major wrist, hand injury from holding the baby. It’s a very real thing. Google it.”
Kaley, who was wearing braces on both of her wrists in the video, went on to say:
“And I think the only thing to make them better is for us to start working out without using my hands. And without using any body weight on my hands, which sounds crazy, and how can you get a workout like that? But Ryan and I are gonna do it today. We’re gonna show you that you can still get a workout, even if you are injured.”
She and Ryan then shared clips of her doing lunges and squats, running on a treadmill, and doing some light sparring. At the end of the video, Kaley said:
“And that is how you do a no-hands workout and still get your ass kicked. So, you can always do it. No excuses.”
In the caption of the video, Ryan wrote:
“‘No Hands Workout; 🔥 since having her baby @kaleycuoco has been suffering with what’s called Carpal tunnel syndrome, basically numbness and tingling in the hands and arms from a pinched nerve…mostly due to holding the baby. So, other than laying off her workouts we just adjust and make them more about lower body and core work. Always finding ways to work around these things and most importantly no excuses!”
