Kanye West and Irina Shayk pretty much broke the internet after photos of the two vacationing in France made the rounds online on Wednesday (June 9).
According to sources, Yeezy, Irina and a few friends stayed at the luxurious Villa La Coste somewhere near Provence, France.
“They looked incredibly happy and relaxed. It was just them and a few friends,” an eyewitness tells E! News.
“Kanye photographed Irina any chance he could,” another source tells the outlet. “She loved posing for him and he got very into what he was creating with his photographs. She looks like his muse.”
And while everyone’s buzzing about their rumored romance, it appears the maybe-couple have touched down stateside. E! News also reports that Yeezy and Irina arrived at a New Jersey airport on Wednesday (June 9).
Ye and Irina have known each other for years – she was in his music video for “Power” was back in 2010. He also namedropped her in his song “Christian Dior Denim Flow” that same year. A couple of years later, she walked the runway for the Yeezy fashion show.
Dating speculations began swirling around Ye and Irina last month, after gossip site DeuxMoi got an anonymous tip about their maybe-romance. However, their recent trip to France is the first time that the two have been spotted out in public.
It might have been going on longer than that though. According to TMZ, Kanye and Irina have reportedly been seeing each other as early March. And Irina wearing a DMX memorial shirt before they hit the shelves seems to be a huge hint that they probably hung out in New York when Ye was there for DMX’s celebration of life in April – the shirts were commissioned by Ye’s Yeezy brand from Balenciaga.
Sources say they’re pretty much just enjoying each other’s company ATM. Per an Entertainment Tonight source, Ye and Irina have “casually been seeing each other.” And another source also tells E! News, “Kanye has expressed he doesn’t want anything serious but likes Irina’s vibe.”
It’s been four months since Ye’s estranged wife, Kim Kardashian, filed for divorce – and sources say she “doesn’t mind” Ye dating again.
“Kim has heard the rumors about Kanye and Irina Shayk and she doesn’t mind at all,” a source told E! News. “If it doesn’t impact her kids, then she doesn’t mind if Kanye dates.”
