Kate Beckinsale just shared a text exchange she had with her daughter Lily after pulling an epic prank on her — and it is made of win.
The 48-year-old Underworld actress pranked Lily by sending her one of the sultry photos that Madonna posted on Instagram. She then pretended that the photo was her and not Madonna.
Kate shared the messages between herself and Lily after she sent her the seductive, risqué shot. Check them out:
KATE: Do you think it’s too much that I posted this? The thing is my ass looks good.
LILY: I’m a little confused I must say. I do think it’s a little much but it’s also very arty.
KATE: Lol, It’s Madonna. Like I’d ever. I can’t believe you can’t recognize your own mother’s anus from under the bed.
LILY: Ma that was a [f–king] rollercoaster.
KATE: Ha ha I’m snorting.
LILY: I couldn’t even sign onto Instagram and check I was so confused. I’m so relieved. I legit sat down to deal with that. My coworker came up and asked if I was on break.
KATE: Lol I’m crying.
LILY: Me too. Tears of happiness. I wouldn’t even be embarrassed like for me if you posted that I would be concerned.
KATE: As if I’d take and post that you maniac.
LILY: No I know that’s why it was so jarring.
Kate’s final message to Lily posed a very logical and very hilarious set of queries too:
KATE: Well quite also what am I doing under the bed and when did I get that rug.
Oh, ladies!
Kate posted the text exchange on social media, and a fan commented with this:
“Everyone is hating on Madonna, but this type of provocation has always been her brand. There’s other famous (and barely famous) people on ig doing the same shit and getting a pass… honestly if it makes her happy that’s fine with me.”
To which Kate had a lovely and classy response:
“Totally agree no hate. We need Madonna to be Madonna always <3.”
