Surprise — Kate Walsh is headed down the aisle!
On Wednesday (October 5), the 54-year-old Grey’s Anatomy actress was doing an Instagram Live session with her former Private Practice co-star when she accidentally revealed her engagement to boyfriend Andrew Nixon.
Kate was doing the Instagram Live session with Amy from her home in Perth, Australia. Andrew suddenly walked into the shot, and Kate turned the camera to him. As he smiled and waved to the camera, Kate exclaimed:
“Here comes the jungle cat, that is my fiance.”
To this, Amy cheekily stated to Andrew:
“She just 100 percent outed your engagement!”
Kate then hilariously confirmed:
“I did. I just outed our engagement.”
And her fiance cutely added:
“Aww.”
Kate flashed her new engagement ring throughout the entire Live session.
Reports have it that Kate and Andrew began seeing each other at the very strrt of the coronavirus pandemic in early 2000. They are said to have met on a cruise. Kate eventually re-located to Australia so that she can quarantine with Andrew. Since then, she’s gone back and forth from Australia to LA to film Grey’s Anatomy.
This will be the second walk down the aisle for Kate, who wed her ex Alex Young in 2007. Kate and Alex separated in 2010.
