Katy Perry has dropped her new single, “Daisies,” and she’s baring it all.

Following her pregnancy reveal in “Never Worn White,” Katy, who’s expecting her first child with fiancé Orlando Bloom, puts her baby bump on display as she goes completely nude in some scenes for her latest music video.

Going nude for maternity shoots isn’t exactly a new concept – celebs like Demi Moore, Jessica Simpson and Britney Spears have displayed their baby bumps in the buff on magazine covers while Jenna Dewan, Jodie Turner-Smith, Shay Mitchell, Chrissy Teigen and Kim Kardashian West have all posted nude maternity photos on social media.

The empowering song celebrates the resilience of the human spirit. Katy also went on Instagram to share the evolution of the song’s meaning for her.

“I wrote this song a couple months ago as a call to remain true to the course you’ve set for yourself, regardless of what others may think,” she wrote. “Recently, it has taken a new meaning for me, in light of what the whole world is experiencing. Each of us is one in more than seven billion, with our own story of strength and resilience to tell.”

“‘DAISIES’ is out now,” she continued. “I hope it will be the soundtrack to going for your dreams now… especially the ones we left behind.”

The song is the first single off of her upcoming as-yet-untitled fifth studio album, which she has announced will be dropping on August 14.

Despite many artists pushing back album releases amid the coronavirus pandemic, Katy opened up about why she won’t be putting off her release for next year.

“I have this body of work and there was a question of, do I wait until next year? And I was like, one thing is for certain, I’m having a child this summer,” Katy said in a recent interview with Apple Music’s New Music Daily. “My whole life is about to change and I’m sure I will have a whole new access to different emotions I never had, and will be able to write from, so I’m going to write a whole ‘nother record probably when that happens.”

“I just think that this summer people want music, they want to dance. They might want some uplifting, inspirational anthems. And I like being associated with those,” Katy added.
