Do we need any more reason to love Keanu Reeves?
He may be known for playing a hitman onscreen, but to some of the passengers he was flying with on Tuesday (March 26), he was a hero.
Keanu caught a commercial flight out from San Francisco to Burbank in Los Angeles on Tuesday (March 26). But before they could reach their destination, the plane had to make an emergency landing in Bakersfield, which is about 2 hours from L.A. Don’t worry guys, the plane landed safely and no one was hurt.
According to a statement issued by the SkyWest Airlines Corporate Communications to Yahoo, “SkyWest Flight 5223, operating as United Express from San Francisco to Burbank on Saturday, March 23, diverted to Bakersfield due to a mechanical indication. The flight landed safely without incident in Bakersfield. Passengers deplaned normally at the gate and were then transported via ground transportation to Burbank.”
In videos that a fan, who happened to be on the flight with Keanu, shared on his Instagram Stories, the 54-year-old actor could be seen with other passengers as the airline made announcements regarding their situation.
The fan was able to document the whole thing – How Keanu stepped up and calmly helped explain to passengers that it would take three hours for the baggage handlers to arrive to unload their luggage from the plane but that a van was arriving in an hour to take them to Burbank. And, if they wanted to, they “hit the road” when their ride arrives and deal with their luggages or talk to customer service at a later time.
Ummm…road trip with Keanu? Yes, please!
Five lucky passengers, including said fan, were able to take the trip in the van with Keanu – where he could be seen being the best road trip companion ever. He regaled them with facts about Bakersfield and even played some tunes from his phone for the two-hour drive to L.A.
Well, that certainly turned things around for those passengers. Way to go, Keanu!

John Wick isn’t the only Keanu movie getting a threequel.
Last year, it was announced that Bill & Ted 3 was a officially a go. And last week, Keanu and his Bill & Ted 3 co-star Alex Winters announced that they were reuniting for another excellent adventure.
The movie’s official Twitter account shared a video of the two stars gearing up to reprise their roles as Theodore “Ted” Logan and Bill S. Preston Esq.
Standing in front of the Hollywood Bowl (the beloved music venue where they say they will “never play”), the duo introduced themselves, then said in unison, “And together we are…Wyld Stallyns!”
“We’re here to announce something,” Alex began.
“We want to say ‘thank you’ to you, the fans,” Keanu continued. “Because it looks like we might…”
“Actually…” Alex interjected.
“Hopefully…” Keanu added.
“Make a movie this summer,” Alex finished.
“Bill & Ted 3,” Keanu announced, with Alex completing the title, “Face The Music.”
According to Alex, “And it’s all because of you guys. And so we owe you a huge debt of gratitude, so we wanted to say thank you … and be excellent.”
Bill & Ted Face The Music is slated to hit theaters in August 21, 2020.
